A little more detail

How the service works.

What happens, step by step?

  1. 01

    Talk about your home

We start with a conversation about your residents, your team and how visits could fit around life in the home.

  2. 02

    Service Introduction

North Star introduces the service to residents and families and answers questions, ensuring your team isn’t left explaining it alone.

  3. 03

    Assessments and tailored care plans

Every resident who chooses to take part has a free oral health needs assessment which identifies individual needs, with treatment plans where clinically appropriate.

  4. 04

    Next steps

For those who wish to progress, a subscription agreement is confirmed, consent is obtained and the first treatment is booked. Regular reviews follow, with referral support when further dental care is needed.

Subscription prices will range between £35-£45 per month depending on the recommended treatment plan.

We will respond and confirm availability for an initial meeting. An enquiry does not mean commitment to use this service.

Please do not include any medical information. Registering your interest does not book an assessment or treatment, provide consent for treatment, or start a subscription.

Before we meet

Your questions, answered.

How do we introduce this service?

Very little is required from you and your team. After your residents have completed our free oral health needs assessment, and the consent and subscription paperwork is in place, we will work with you to organise dates and treatment areas so residents can benefit from ongoing Prevora treatment.

How much will the service cost?

The monthly cost of the service will vary per resident according to the free oral health needs assessment, ongoing reviews and subsequent number of recommended annual treatments. Monthly subscription prices will vary between £35-£45.

How will residents and families make a decision?

Residents and families will have the opportunity to meet with the North Star team to ask any questions. After the free assessment our clinical team will recommend an appropriate treatment plan.

Residents, their families and/or lasting powers of attorney can then make a decision to subscribe for ongoing treatments (cooling off periods will apply).

What is the consent process?

Given the vulnerable residential population, North Star will always operate with the highest standards of governance. Consent for the initial assessment and onward treatment will be required before they take place.

How do payments for the service work?

For ease, the service is offered on a monthly subscription plan. Payments will be organised directly between North Star and the resident and/or families and/or lasting powers of attorney - nothing to action for you or your team.

How do residents start or stop this service?

We will work with you to provide ongoing initial free assessments for residents who would like to access the service.

Residents, families or lasting powers of attorney can cancel the subscription at any time.
